A Crowd of Figures in an Eye

This was a large painting/drawing from 1998. It’s from a series of 50 or so of these large pieces on card, which I called the Apocalypse Series, which was a bit of a misnomer, though it was created just before the end of the millennium, so that whole apocalyptic thing was on people’s minds. The Horde drawing below brought this to mind — large numbers of figures in strange combinations…
