Some drawings of heads on tinted paper

Here are some new drawings of heads I’ve been working on, done on tinted Canson drawing paper. The drawings are executed in china marker (an indelible sort of pencil/crayon used for drawing on glass, plastic, china, etc.) and ink, and I find that the combination of the 2 drawing media, in conjunction with the hue & texture of the paper, adds another dimension to the artwork.

Woman’s Head on Tinted Paper

This is a drawing I did at the end of the day yesterday…it’s more immediate and less restrained/controlled than some of my other pieces…and the colored paper (Canson pastel paper — I like the texture to draw on) adds a vitality to the piece.
