A Small Bestiary

Most of my work deals with the human head & the human figure. Occasionally I have drawn & painted various kinds of creatures, both real & imaginary. Actually, as I tend not to work from life, everything is at least partially imaginary. Below is a small selection of these beasts & creatures:

The Skate, 2005, acrylic on board, 10" x 8".

A Large Fly, 2008, brush & ink on paper, 9" x 6".

The above drawing is from the illustrated book of poetry with Eliot Katz, Love, War, Fire, Wind. Available on Amazon & other fine stores, real & virtual.

Pachyderm, 2006, acrylic on plywood, 8" x 7.25".

This small painting is now in a private collection.

Flightless, Sightless Bird, 2006, brush & ink on paper, 12" x 12".

There are more examples, but this is enough for now.
